I love monsters. I’m in if it’s too big, too wrong, or too weird. I’m in if it creeps me out, makes me shudder or angry. I love the dark and all the twisted and strange things that lurk there.
I love dark humour too. Gallows humour, jokes that make me laugh and cringe. Things we’re not supposed to say in polite company are a field rich in pickings. No one is safe, nor should they be.
Here at the Druids Tree, I water the beast with all these things. I fertilise it with history myth and folklore. Sometimes the fruit bears tales of ancient alien creatures playing at gods. Sometimes the flesh is sweeter, and the tale is a dark comedy. Sometimes we get a hybrid. Either way, the tree is never boring.
